 Reconcile ONLY IF...
34Then Samuel left for Ramah, but Saul went up to his home in Gibeah of Saul.
35Until the day Samuel died, he did not go to see Saul again, though Samuel mourned for him. And the LORD was grieved that he had made Saul king over Israel.(1Sam 15:34-35)

Reconcilation is a happy ending. We all want to see the broken relationship to be mend. We feel sad to see two buddies cut off their friendship. We want to see they reconciled and back to normal. Nevertheless, reconcilation is not only shaking hands, saying apprology, accepting apprology. It is fake and meaningless.

Samuel, being a powerful prophet in Israel at that time, has broken the relationship with Saul. He was the only who was sent by the Lord to anoint Saul as king over Israel. However, due to the Saul's disobedient to the Lord over and over again, Samuel did parted from Saul as the scripture said, 'Until the day Samuel died, he did not go to see Saul again, though Samuel mourned for him.'

I do believe Saul would feel wrong, sad, guilty of doing wrong, being disobedient to the Lord but it didn't mean anything if he did not TURN AWAY FROM HIS SIN and TURN BACK TO THE LORD.

True and biblical reconcilation between men only take place after men have reconciled with the Lord.

1So I made up my mind that I would not make another painful visit to you.
2For if I grieve you, who is left to make me glad but you whom I have grieved?
3I wrote as I did so that when I came I should not be distressed by those who ought to make me rejoice. I had confidence in all of you, that you would all share my joy.
4For I wrote you out of great distress and anguish of heart and with many tears, not to grieve you but to let you know the depth of my love for you.
5If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved all of you, to some extent--not to put it too severely.
6The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient for him.
7Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.
8I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him.
9The reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything.
10If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven--if there was anything to forgive--I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake,
11in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
(2Corinthian 2:1-11)

According to thess scriptures, the relationship between the church and one who was forgiven had been cut off once. I believe after 'the punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient for him', he had turned away from his sin and turned to the Lord once again. So Paul, the apostle, asked the majority to offer that guy forgiveness which also means the reconcilation between them.

True and biblical reconcilation between men only take place after men have reconciled with the Lord.
