Do you think humans are naturally monogamous? Or are we supposed to be polygamous? Justify your answer please!
I am interested to hear anyone's thoughts on this!

some animals are natrually monogamous such as penguins, but i think humans are both. We have the choise as any other animals does in the wild. Some like to spread their seed, others like to insure their seed is the only one that gets to a female.

Veganbohemian is wrong about penguins. Scientific studies now show that even if a female bird picks one male as her life long partner and has him raise their offspring, She her egg many times are fertilized by another male altogether. This is something I have known about geese for over fifty years. The darn things eat my crops every year and I have seen for myself the female gettting it on with one male, but having a completely different mate for life. I think this holds true with every single spicies on this earth as the purpose of life is to recreate and therfore it is impairitive that we breed as often as possible, and that the female breeds with the best possible male for the sake of the spicies. Unfortunately humans are too often willing to breed with anyone that comes along and society suffers for it. Not one race or spicies is more important than another, and many times by cross breeding one spicies with another you can end up with a better stronger offspring. I realize women like to think that they are the more dedicated gender, but shrinks are now putting together studies which show that women are just as often as men to stray from a lifelong mate. ( yeah we men would like to breed with every female we can, because we have no-consceince) That statement was directed at the women who are absolutely certain that men are dogs. Yes we are, but when it comes right down to it, so are women.
