Well both Toms are in the oven and half way to delicious bliss. The pies are baked, horderves are out, kids are happy and I don't have to peel the taters for another fourty-five minutes so our meal is on the way to being perfect. Of course I have stopped expecting perfection and it has made the holidays much more enjoyable. It is what it is and we will all eat.
I did buy too much food, but that isn't new. Wish I had more folks to share it with.
I am also planning a holiday party at the house, I think I will do it on the 13th of Dec. I have wanted to do one for several years but never got to it due to work. I have more free time now. What I plan on doing is asking each guest to bring a toy for the school toy drive, that way it will be for a good cause as well.
Tomorrow is "black friday" and I do hope it is a financial success for the retailer so we can stop hearing about how bad the economy is - which by the way, is not bad for most folks. In the area where I live there are far more jobs than people and everyone seems to be getting on just fine. Poverty for many is a state of mind and desire, not to say that some people are really struggling even while working but to put it all on the economy is just a ignorant mistake.
Well, I am so very thankful for a relaxed holiday, for my family and my abundant blessings. It is my sincere hope that everyone finds a level of comfort that eases the stress of their daily lives in the coming year.
NOW - on the with Holidays

I'm glad you have stopped expecting perfection because that would cause way to much stress to enjoy any day, let alone a holiday.
Be thankful for what it is, and how it turns out will be perfect.
Happy Thanksgiving!
