more on should people get the death penalty
It’s a slap in the face to mortality when when a teen is killed and the murder is sent to prison for 2 life sentences. He has air conditioning in his cell, a cable TV, or now as we would put it, digital TV in his cell. He is fed 3 meals a day. He is able to get visits from family and friends on a regular basis. His showers are free, and so is his water … I knew a family that had to deal with that… They didn’t think it was fair, and the father was distort. His son. His only son was killed because someone wanted to be in a gang. That’s all… They found out one month later after his death that all this prisoner gets is paid for by their, and your taxes. I am not lying. Your taxes help house this murder of a teenaged boy, around your age. How do you think the parents of this teen felt?
Not only that, but it also moral to have the death sentence because it prevents the person from doing it again… Ever killing that baby laying in it’s crib as is mother sleeps. Or that father with a toddler going on a drive, smiling after he go ice-cream from his father, but not knowing it was to have him trust his father even more, when there’s an ax in the back seat calling for the toddlers head… Morbid isn’t it? How a father could kill a child… How a woman and have a man lead him to think that she loves him, when all she want to do is to see that bullet go in his head… People that kill are disturbed, or on their way to being so.
Steeling has a consequence of imprisonment… If murder is the same consequence, then you are saying that marital items are the same as a human life. Don’t say it’s not what you are saying because it is. You are saying that that murder eating his food with that thief is the same. Lose of freedom won’t replace a life… It never will… But it’s still killing? Okye… Here’s what I say on that. Someone is taken hostage. A cop shoots the person taking the person hostage. Is that murder, or saving a life? If a murder is put down, then is that saving a life or taking one? What makes you think that the murder won’t go and kill that person that up them away after they get out… there has been 32% of murders put in prison and let go… In the time of 3 years they commit 4 murders that are known of. I guess prison worked didn’t it. The other percentage was put down… What works better and is safer? You tell me.

You are Totally right about everything,
People who kill, only have to sit in a cell
With T.v , Food , and warmth, and if its hot
Cold. Its just like them hanging out in their room for the rest of their life, and they get to take it easy by not having to pay for anything such as cloths, or bills, or food, or anything.

I agree its wrong how we treat murderers and that we should change it so that their time in prison is what is should be but i dont think that there should be death penalties either. By giving them you become just as bad as the criminal and it is also an easy way out for them.

'Not only that, but it also moral to have the death sentence because it prevents the person from doing it again%u2026'

Of course it would stop them from doing it again but imagine those who are innocent and didnt get a fair trial... Self defence... if all of them died... without a chance or justification. Also prisons are meant to teach people right from wrong. And if they are already serving a life sentence then they are not going to murder again are they?

And do you honestly think that people who have been caught steeling go to the same prison as murders and if so are treat equally? They also dont get the same amount of time in prison do they?

I understand that you dont think that they should be let out or get their life back and i think a life sentence is fine but instead of petitioning for more death penalties couldnt you petition for safer and more useful prisons... that teach murderers right from wrong.

They don't have an easy way out because the sit in a cell for months, knowing they are going to die. Every step they hear, is another step close to their death... they are never sure if it's their time or not.

1st off I think he is talking about the ones who have been convicted. And no prisons are supposed to be punishment and not supposed to be teaching right from wrong. And so by your argument who ever that was that killed that little girl from Florida should not be put to death. I for one hope they find the SOB and put him to death.

I think anyone who sexually assults or kills a child, and I believe anyone under the age of 18 is a child, should be killed so they can never do it again because it is a proven fact that 85% of those who assult a child will do it again.

Your view of murder is very black and white. Killing is clearly a part of life and has been for a long time. I do not believe there is every a justification for murder, and that includes murdering a murderer? Many reasons for this: What if we're wrong? Many people have been wrongly executed in America (many more so in history). I think that's quite monstrous.
By allowing justification for murder, how are we any better? Just because the original murderer had a perverted reason? Why don't we sentence enemy combatants (or for that matter, our own) to death?

Another reason, purely political is that death row clogs the system and wastes millions of dollars.

With so many arguments, how can we possibly take someone's life away? I just don't believe it's fair.
