The new kid

So there's this new guy at our school and I think he's kinda cute... But he's hanging out with Jem which means I can't even get close enough to say hi.. I'm really uncomfortable about it becuase I feel as if I need to warn the new kid about what Jem's like but I can't while Jem's stood right there, can I? And Jem's ALWAYS THERE! So, wat SHOULD I do? Your addvice please.
