| Retirement from the medical side |

God forbid if you are old and need some outpatient surgery: they hit you with every expense they can think of to pay for those who don't have insurance. That is the way it is now, because medicare underpays these hospitals, they compensate by overcharging you for every move you make on hospital property.
Recently a fly shot cost $35: $20 for the person to administer, $15 for the vaccine, that we now know did not work on this year's flu.
So, a recent bill from the hospital was $50 a minute for using the operating room on top of the $1600 for the first half hour. The IV solution was $187. per and they charged for two:one before and during surgery and one in recovery, apparently they can't use the same one through out.
So, the goal is, confuse the shit out of you so you will just pay them and shut up.
I have found out a couple of things: you can delay things by sending a bill back and asking for the itemization. You can protest things like the above IV, you can just act old and tell them you forgot becasue you thought your insurance was going to cover it.
In the end,if you gain points for each purchase on your credit card, put the payment on that and pay it off or your minor surgery will be a major interest problem.
