| How is that change working for ya? Part III |
USA Today says that 6 million more people retired so far this year than expected, so now Social Security is running a deficit 12 years earlier than predicted. So, 7M on unemployed rolls, + 6 M who are underemployed or have given up, +6M who retired early = 19M people effectively unemployed.
And Czar Romer who is supposed to put the best face on this is saying that we "should get used to 10% unemployment", like Europe, because it isn't coming back anytime soon. Maybe 2015!
Recapping, The country is broke, but more people are seeking entitlements..and we are not going to have any tax increases until the Bush tax cuts (3%+) expire next year, ....and cap and trade driving up utility bills, (Penn. and Nebraska just had their coldest October on record, but it may get hot!!) + the health care taxes will go into effect immediately, with services to start in 2013 or later.......so this is a great outlook.
Give me more??
And of course, I am a senior citizen, so I can't wait for my health care to be cut while some board decides if I should be treated for my illnesses and my local VA has 30 medical openings for doctors and I have to wait months for a test....they are on a hiring freeze......but hey, its all great!
More change!!!
Starting in the next elections...2010.
