Zhang Ziyi filmed her last scene of Mei Lan Fang two weeks ago.
The scene talks about Meng Xiao Dong played by Ziyi saying her farewell to Mei Lan Fang played by Leon. Tears and a final hug were shared between the two.
Leon and Ziyi struck up a friendship. Whenever a shot was finished, he would allow her to be near the heater.
Once, as she was filming in a qipao (chinese traditional dress), he noticed her calves were red and swollen from the freezing cold. He provided her with ointment to apply. She was grateful for his care. When she filmed her final scene, he was a little sad. She seemed to understand this good friend. Before leaving the crew, she patted his shoulder and said, "Brothers, add oil!" This small action demonstrated how deep their frienship is!
