Why can't I be happy? on 2008-01-26 20:11:21 |

So many people today think that life SHOULD be as they see it on TV, where good fortune just rains from the sky.
In real life, you make it rain from the sky yourself. You have to go out and make these things happen. It's not just going to knock on your front door...
Good luck! :D

Movie Theatres Suck on 2008-01-26 14:58:08 |

I only go to the movies if my wife makes a big fuss over wanting to go. Otherwise, I can fire up the ol' DVD, make popcorn that costs mere pennies, pour soda for myself or my guests that costs not much more, and don't have to worry about my feet sticking to my living room carpet. And, I can choose to sit through trailers or not. But then, this is what I enjoy doing! :D

Wait till you see what things will be like when it comes time to actually PAY for this war. Cue up Bette Davis telling us that we're in for a bumpy night...

LOL!
Women with a wicked sense of humor are, unfortunately, quite rare. Please stay. Enrich us.

I remember one evening twenty plus years ago, my mom asked why I was so down. I told her I really didn't know. Her advice? "Well, snap out of it!"
I understand.

Kanye West's mother was a huge aberration.
You'll be fine. Tremendous strides have been made over the past ten years when it comes to gastric bypass. However, a lot of the post-op success depends on you. One of my co-workers became a slim, very healthy man with a whole new outlook on life. Another one of my co-workers went to looking about two-thirds of the way she did before the surgery.
You'll be fine. I'm in your corner, cheering for you :)

My wife just scrapbooks anyway. I like the migraine issue, though. If you do it well enough, he'll never want you to watch football with him again.

so bummed.... on 2008-01-06 12:56:38 |

You want bummed? How about losing the Super Bowl, and THEN finding out that President Richard Nixon was calling plays from the White House!
I'm bummed too. But, they're my team, over thirty plus years. Next year, there's so much more potential for bummation. Hand in hand, we walk together LOL! Keep your chin up :D

I've been in the process of writing the Great American Novel, on and off, for quite some time. What you see's the literary equivalent of finger drills on a piano...
And, thanks :)
