| my thoughts on thoughts......

Today something started me thinking (surprise!) and from there......well the ball just kept rolling. I'm still fairly new to thoughts and still finding my way a little. My bestest buddy blogs her little heart out here, and for a few months I would simply jump on the PC and read her blogs, laughing and crying with her. But I found myself also reading her feedback comments, and before I knew it I was reading others blogs on a regular basis. I found myself sharing their highs and lows with them........strangers who never knew that I even existed!
Very occassionally I would post a comment, usually only ever on my friends blogs, and even then only if the content raised my blood pressure enough! But eventually I raised the courage to "have a go" of my own, and my first ever blog was born.
Well a whole new world has opened up for me.......and I'm absolutely amazed!! I have found friends from the other side of the world, people I am beginning to really care about........ and they care about me too! Sharing the good times with laughter and cheeky "chit chat", or maybe sharing the low points, when we offer our own words of love, support and encouragement to each other. These words are real and come from the heart. We imagine scenarios together (yes, that's you dreampower) and oh, what a blast if those times really existed! But nevertheless, the friendship and support I have found here is real and truly, yes I'll say it again, Amazing! Entertaining and fun, sad or maybe melancholy.....and yes, sometimes contraversial.......thoughts is a world of it's own.
Long after I have logged out I sometimes find myself thinking about someone here.
And this is where this blog began! This morning I was at the gym with my ipod blaring in my ears, trying to work off all the chocolate I have eaten in the last few days.......and one of my favorite songs came on. It bought a smile to my face but no, not because I love it, but because I remembered someone here on thoughts attached it to her blog for all us fans out there.
But there is one down side to all this......I have become an addict, I am addicted to thoughts! So much so, that my PC is about to start slowing down as I approach the limit of our internet usage. Oh well, I may just have to change provider plans so it's unlimited.......but then I'd never get anything done!!! But to everyone in the world of thoughts, thank you for making me feel so welcolme. For allowing me to freely express my own thoughts , and to become a part of this unique little family. :)

And by the way, Join the club...I am a thoughts addict too!!! :D And i know quite a few of my friends here on thoughts who are equally addicted ;) So you arent alone :)
Its incredible how just reading a few blogs can get you to feel so much about people, you really do cry when they're hurting...you really cant stop smiling when they're happy...its magical, and i love it :D

Funny many can not grasp the real friendships offered here. I've heard "water down words" because nobody can express their true feelings. Whatev...... Sorry they missed the boat.
Would we all get along if we did have real life access to each other. Maybe not some but for others I hate it knowing this will be the only way we get to know each other.
Some said to be hidden behind a screen. I say not hidden just trapped without the ease of driving a bit to be a part of the lives.
In a perfect world we could all be neighbors. Guess we have to take what we can get with the keyboard and screen.

Welcome, and I think all of us feel like you do and most of us have written about this "bonus". My family doesnt "get it" they call people who comment "stalkers" and they could not be farther from the truth. Unless you are a blogger, you just dont understand the support you find and friendships you make when you join and the whole thing was a great big surprise to me. I thought I was just going to write a few stories and that was that...the feedback is invaluable as well as the people! I do think about people too when Im not on the internet, like I wonder how he is doing, I know he was having a hard day yesterday or I hope she has fun on vacation etc! so many caring people in one place, its amazing!
