What a weekend. I can only say that I spent most of my time thinking how wonderful it was to not be at work, and trying to make it go slower so I didn't have to go to work.
Friday night we did our usual. Nothing. We talk about doing this or that, but we never do anything. I said I wanted to watch a movie. We had some dinner, and watched a movie. That was that, then we went to bed. Nothing inbetween.
Saturday was so fun. It was. I usually wake up early, long before BF, but he woke me up. He wanted pancakes. I dislike breakfast food. I don't like any of it, waffles, pancakes, french toast, cereal. I only like eggs. My theory is that its because my mother who does not cook, or did not at all when I was growing up, so we often had "brinner" instead. I ate a lot of grilled cheese. Anyway, I didn't have proper ingredients to make pancakes, so he had french toast. And we started channel surfing. Food Network was doing my favorite, a little marathon of Food Heavens. And we watched most of them, Hot Dog Heaven, Hamburger Heaven, Ice Cream Heaven, etc.
After seeing Hot Dog Heaven, I wanted so badly to live in Chicago or New York. I wanted one of those hot dogs. Not the frozen ones I have in my freezer. Yuck. BF suggested we go to 7-11. I was really craving a 7-up anyway, and since his rude friend drank my last one sometime last week I was up for it. We went and got my soda, and each got a hot dog. Yes it satisfied my craving, no it wasn't exactly what I wanted. We came home ate them and watched Diner Heaven. That was that. We were going to a diner for dinner! I didn't snack at all between so that I could pig out for dinner.
We went to Gunther Toodie's, sp?, and it was fun! Not too busy, but definatley what I needed. In the car on the way we decided we would each get something we wouldn't normally get, something more diner-like, and that we would share. So we got there and ate, and it was delicious, I am hungry thinking about it. BF played pinball for a little while. It was fun. We went home, got the dog and went to blockbuster to get some new movies, and then to Baskin Robbins for dessert. All in all it was a great day. Just relaxing, eating good food, and we did get some chores done around the house.
Sunday was a bad day. I woke up really early, and couldn't get back to sleep. BF had to go to work for a couple of hours, he is making up time so he can take a half day tomorrow since it's his birthday. While he was gone I cleaned the whole house, finished the laundry, and tried to lay out in the sun a little, it was very chilly. Then we just hung out in seperate rooms, I watched a movie but fell asleep, I am not feeling well. I was kind of upset with him, I don't know why. But I felt like he was mad. Maybe he does feel old. I tried to comfort him, but he is so resistant.
I asked him if burgers were okay for dinner and we had decided on them, but then we both felt funky so we decided to have something else. I made hiim 2 grilled cheese. I had one half of one. See, if my mom didn't really want to cook she made "brinner" and when I don't really want to cook I make grilled cheese. We watched our favorite Sunday night shows, and I had a glass of wine and he had a beer and it seemed to lighten the mood, the tv, alcohol and food or one of them, not sure which.
Anyway as for today I am having a half shitty day at work. Lazy girl isn't here, she has Mondays off, so that's the only plus. However, her accounts are all calling and yelling that they are late and she hasn't put in the paperwork, blah blah blah so she is in TROUBLE with the boss. Yes, I told on her because I am sick of her not doing anything! So when she gets in trouble tomorrow it will make for a better day for me! I don't like her if you can't tell.
