| Free Gas and Banana Bread

Yesterday was as long as it could possibly be.
I was the only one in the office, and I had a ton of things to get done. But of course I had time to read my favorite blogs on thoughts.
I called BF's sister, we chatted for a bit and were discussing them coming down to stay with us for a week. We haven't seen them since Christmas and they want to get away. They live in Iowa, and we are in Colorado. Plus I really want to see the new baby. So we talked about it and she said don't tell BF because we want to surprise him. She said that her husband (who is BF's best friend) had originally wanted to surprise me and just tell BF but he knew I would figure it out when BF all of the sudden started cleaning and buying more beer, since he thinks I wait on him hand and foot. Which I suppose I do, but I love him. So they are telling me, they are just trying to figure out the gas thing.
Then I suggest to her that we find somwhere half way that has an amusement park or water park or something and we stay in a hotel and hang out. That way we are both on vacation but away from home! So she is looking into it. It would be a lot of fun, I just don't know how it would work with the newborn. We will see.
So then I get a call from a number I don't recognize, I don't usually answer but this time I did. The voice on the other end confirms it is me and then tells me, "YOU WON A $300 GAS CARD" I'm like WTF are you serious. Turns out that I really did, all because Saturday afternoon some kid came to my door and asked if I would take a survey and in turn I would be entered in a drawing. I never win these things but I wanted ot help her out, I am sure she gets paid per answered survey so why not. So today after work I am going to get my gas card! I am so excited! Maybe I am getting lucky, I should buy more Powerball tickets!
Oh, and last night I made banana bread. My bananas were dying and I didn't want to throw them away, and BF who doesn't like bananas but likes banana bread thought I should. So I am making it and talking to his sister again and I'm like I think I did something wrong, the batter looked so gross. I don't remember if it always looked so nasty. But I bake it and I tell BF I am really sorry if it doesn't come out well. So we eat dinner and I pull it out of the oven, it looks normal. Apparently it was good, because he had 5 slices! I guess I can bake! |

Wow! Everyone could use one of those gas cards!
Also I make pumpkin bread and banana bread from time to time. I have used bananas that were way too ripe and the bread was yuck! I like pumpkin bread better! Obviously so does everyone else here because I always make at least 5 loaves and it is always gone within two days if it take that long!
