"Can I get a beer?" "Where is the bathroom?"
I don't feel well, and my stomach is making an awful lot of noise.

It may be because I haven't eaten anything today. Or maybe because I ate too much last night. In any case it is mad at me, and I am not sure which type of punishment, if any, I will endure.

Last night I got home, with gifts in hand. And a take out menu. BF called me and said he didn't feel like going out, he wanted to stay home and watch basketball. Eh. It's his birthday he can do with it what he will. So I went to get take out, it was delicious but I over ate because I didn't get lunch yesterday, I was too busy shopping for birthday presents. I could tell he was excited to see the neatly wrapped boxes and ribbon bows. I make an effort, because honestly, who doesn't love to get a nicely wrapped gift any day of the week? He tried to look so non-chalant but I saw between the lines. He loved it. He even waited until after dinner to open them. You know why, he wanted to admire them for a while. I would too.

After we ate, I did some crossword puzzles and we watched The Office. I am learning to love the show. I never watched it until the last 4 months or so. So we have plenty of episodes that are new to us, and they are quite funny. I was a little bored, and I didn't feel well from being so full. I wanted to go for a walk, but BF didn't and it was dark so I wasn't going to do so by myself. Maybe tonight I will.

My Italian is coming along. I finally got some CD's from the library, I don't know who it is in the city who has decided to check out ALL things Italian from the library, but now I at least have something. I started listening yesterday at lunch. I can now say I understand a little bit of Italian, but to me it is pointless because that is what I understand. I can also ask if you understand English, a little better.  My boss seems to think the most important things for me to learn are "can I get a beer" and "where is the bathroom". Now that I have typed them I understand that you should really learn the latter if you are going to use the first.  She's funny now that I think about it. I think I won't be drinking much beer, but I am sure the wine will flow, and flow and flow.

I can't wait. That reminds me that my mother said she wants to get me some new shoes for walking, and some for dressing up. I must go look on the internet for the exact ones I want! I'll be back later.
