Hey Mumsi! Thanks for the interesting questions! Let me answer your last question first. I think you are exactly right when you say that anyone who doesn't display emotion and/or passion on a regular basis is someone who we (at the very least) look askance at, and usually wonder about such peoples' state of mind and feel the need to "keep a watchful eye on" such people. Your second question is a bit tougher to answer shortly. I don't know how Seneca would answer it. However, I would have to say that stoicism is to purge all of the extraneous thoughts and feelings that a person may have in order to live a more simple, ordered life. Is that the purging of all that is what makes us human? I would say not. I would say that stoicism throws all of the distractions that are in our lives out of the way, allowing us to experience all of the human emotions better, although we must be careful to not display them for the whole world to see. Because if we allow the world to see what we are feeling, that is now a distraction from our pursuit of a simpler life. That is just my uninformed opinion, though.

I have sleep apnea, and what you describe is right on. I had a sleep study done, and now I have to sleep with a machine. The first time, it felt like I was drowning in air. It took some getting used to, but I sure am glad I got it done. The biggest scare for me was when I fell asleep driving home one day in broad daylight. Don't delay, I guarantee you you will feel better than you have in a long time.

And by "easist", of course I mean easiest.

Ditto what kentlass said. A lot of questions. Let me just answer the easist one. Googling means to look something up using the search engine located at Google.com Just put in www.google.com in your browser's navigation bar and press enter. It will take you to google's home page. There you will find a field to fill in what you want to find Let's say you want to shop for shoes on-line. Just put in "shoes" (and perhaps even "shop"), and Google will list all the places that you can shop for shoes. Click on any of the names, and it will take you to that page. If you are looking for a person or place that has more than one name, make sure you enclose that name in quotation marks. So, if you go looking for Jim Brown, type in "Jim Brown" (with the quotation marks) in the search field. Keep slugging away! You can do it! You've gotten this far!

Hey, It's really easy. Right below the navigation bar on thoughts.com, there is the control bar. In your case, it will read Welcome lastblastkl | My Blog | My Account | My Controls | My Friends | My Mail | Forums | Log Out Click on My Controls On the right side, there is a pane that says "Navigation". Click on where it says "Update profile photo". There will be three boxes on this page: Current image, photo, and security code. Since you don't have a current image, this first field will be blank. The second field will have a button next to it that says, "Browse". Click on it, and it should take you automatically to the folder you keep photos in. If not, just navigate to it, and pick out the photo you want to use. (I'm assuming that the photo you want to use is on your computer). Click "OK", and put in the 5 digit security code that is shown in the third box. These can sometimes be hard to read, so if you have problems with it, I suggest you just reload the page (F5). And you're done! Hope this is helpful.
