Thoughts.com Blogs - Merry Christmas All!

It's hard for me to believe its taken me eleven days to get back here and say thank everyone for their great support and kindness. I do appreciate all of you who have written and left comments. This blog has been a life saver for me and I am grateful for all the people who have taken the time to assist me, even on my grumpiest of days.

Today is Christmas and I'm taking a little time alone. Actually R needed some time along too and truly its ok with me.

Its not the best of all days here on the southern Oregon Coast, but its a big improvement over the storms and heavy blowing winds that we've been having,. Although, yesterday was a beautiful day, with some blue skies and sunshine part of the day. Who could ask for more?

I love Christmas, there is a magic which can't be found at any other time of year. I wish the Christmas spirit would stay with everyone all year long but it never does. It's my goal this year to lose 30 pounds and keep the Christmas spirit alive in me and share it with others. Now this doesn't mean I won't occasionally show my temper, but I'm going to try real hard to not let it out too often.

I also want to smile more. I think if I could smile more, I'd have less occasions to be sad? I read somewhere a long time ago, that you can't cry and smile at the same time... I can tell you, that's not true, but I do think its harder to be angry when you're smiling. So there are my New Year's resolutions... lose weight and smile more. Anyone want to join in? It should be a fun experiment and I hope to blog my successes here!

So for now friends, I'm off to enjoy some more cookies before the diet begins... (oops, I may have to lose 35 pounds? LOL)
