Recently I was told that during a conversation with their partner that a question was put to the partner who was asked “What turns me on?” After a very long pause an answer was given which was incorrect. Now this wouldn’t have surprised me had it been a new couple, however this couple have been together for more than 10 years. However this surprised me. So much so that I have nothing that I could say. This if any one knows me is strange I always have something to say.
Which got me thinking how long does a person have to know someone to know what buttons to push?
I for example who has been with my husband for 12 years knows what buttons to push, when I want things done, or when in the bedroom. Or even if we are having a disagreement I know what to say to defuse the issue if it is getting over heated. I don’t say I know all his buttons but I do most of them, and had I been given that same question the answer would have been right there with out even having to think about it.
So what puzzles me is if you have lived with someone for 10 years and have lain next to him every night for the past 10 years how can you not know?
