Dear Roe,
Okay it has taken me a few days, and a few hours. I have finally finished your list of questions. Now granted I have not answered them all, as some of them doubled up, and some just didn't seem to fit me and the way I blog or I just didn't have an answer but I hope you find the answers interesting.
KP
More than 20 questions:
• How did you hear about blogging?
Through a friend who at the time was more than a friend, some of you know the story and some don’t but I won’t bore you with the details. But it was thanks to Whiteknight.
• What brought you to thoughts?
I first started blogging as a he said, she said type thing with what Whiteknight and I were going through. But some where along the way I started writing about other things, about issues that bugged me, about getting the skeletons out of the closet, as a therapy to deal with my sickness. So I guess for many reasons.
• When did you join thoughts?
I first signed up on the 9th October 2007; my first blog was the same day.
• What were your expectations?
I didn’t really have any expectations; it was a matter of wait and see where this would go. Would I stick to it, would I write what ever was on my mind?
• Have they stayed the same or have they changed?
I am surprised at myself at how long I have lasted in blogging I didn’t think I would enjoy it as much. Though I do know that over the course of the last 6 months or so I haven’t blogged as much as I would like. Reality life gets in the way sometimes.
• What surprised you the most?
How so many people from all walks of life mean so much to me. How I look forward to reading what people have written. When I log in it is like I am a kid again and wake up to find a present waiting for me to open. The excitement I get, the enjoyment I get from everyone. Ohhh and what joy I feel when I see a blog from someone who has been MIA for a bit.
• Do you remember your first comment and who left it?
Okay so I had to look this one up it was from bookgirl on my second blog; however bookgirl hasn’t been on since Christmas last year.
• Who was the first person to read more than one of your posts?
I am really not sure, I did notice that some commented more than others, but when I first started my blogs would have many hits, so who knows.
• What is your favorite thing about blogging?
That sometimes when I think I am talented enough I have a go at a short story or poem and no one has ever said to me “Don’t give up my day job” lol
• Are you on the site anonymously?
I guess in a sense I am still, as no one has seen me person to person. I have talked to one via the phone and I have IM with some, but never actually meet up.
• Does anyone know you blog here?
My husband does, my kids do. Some of my friends from school do but they do not know my username. When I am at school and on lunch and pop in for a quick look I always come in as a guest.
• Has anyone discovered you were here that was upsetting?
I know of someone that has come on thoughts and was snooping around, Opps did I say that no I meant looking around. Even though they had said they would never. It indirectly affected me, but I was told they didn’t go and read me, however I do not believe that at all.
• Any repercussions?
Not to me personal, but someone else.
• Have you ever deleted a post? Why?
No I haven’t. However I do have my own thoughts/blog file on my desktop. So when I have the urge or have a few minutes I can write something down. This allows me to make sure that I have no spelling mistakes. That I am happy with how it reads, and if I am not sure I want to post it straight away I can leave it for later.
The downside to that was when my computer crashed recently I was unable to retrieve the un-posted blogs.
• Have you ever deleted something in the forums and why?
No
• Have you ever left a comment and wish you hadn’t?
No
• Have you made friends here?
I hope I have. I would like to think I have.
• Has your writing ability improved?
I think it has, however I am my own worse critic so I would have said it was bad from the start and still is.
• What type of blog interests you, journal, fiction, inspiration, rants, poetry, other?
I don’t think I have one in particular. I like most. I read someone who has interested me in the past. I will read someone who has grab my attention when I sign in, I will read someone who intrigues me with the first line when I go to recent post. Or I will read someone because of a comment they may have left and I have wanted to know more about them. And they style they write in which I think tells a lot about a person.
• Do you like music playing while you are reading a post?
Sometimes yes. Sometimes no, I think a lot depends on my mood. Though some times I have come to a post and it has music on it and it is a short post and I start getting into the music and without thinking I will click on to the next post without listen to the rest of the song. I of course go back to finish listening.
• Do you ever listen to someone’s selection of music on their profile?
I will if I haven’t heard of them before. However I can usual tell in the first few bars whether I will like them or not.
• Do some profiles impress you more than others?
I think I am more intrigued by there avatars. I always wonder why they choose that. Or if it is of a person it is them especially if they are half obscured in a way.
• Have you organized your posts into categories?
Yes, and each category has a color too, so when I go to post them they all go in a category and color coded for each one. I also only use one font and one size. On the odd occasion do I change that.
• Do you even care about profiles?
Not entirely however it does give me an insight to the person a little bit. I guess more about the age of the person and if I am dealing with a child.
• Have you ever read something that you thought was written by a male then found out it was a female, or have you ever not been sure what sex the person was while reading a new post?
Yes, I was completely shocked that I didn’t pick it up. I am more usually clued on about it.
• Does the info in the profile make you want to read something or turn you away?
Sometimes but not often

I have been but not lately. I haven’t touched it for along time.
• Do you plan to write a book someday?
I think like many authors’ out there, we inspire too, as to whether we get that book deal is another thing. I am not staking my life on it. If it happens great, if it doesn’t then that is fine too maybe it wasn’t meant to happen this life time.
• Does anyone want to earn a living writing instead of doing what they are doing?
Don’t all of us have dreams of grander, of wanting to be more than what we are? The truth is that only a handful will ever get too.
• Are you sad when someone doesn’t come around your post anymore?
The truth is I am not really aware of who doesn’t and who does. If they read me great, if they like what they read great too, if they leave a comment fantastic, if they don’t that is fine too. But I don’t need to know who comes and goes all the time. I don’t need self gratification. I do this for me
