I am putting out a call for all thoughts and prayers to Annie.
Annie has become very close to my family and I and has been very helpful since she started working for us. The children are also close to her and see her more as a grandmother, than an employee.
The other day while Annie was out tending her garden she tripped and landed on a boulder, which in turn has broken her hip. So after getting her back from her vacation, she is off again. But not for pleasant happenings.
I went to visited her to bring her our love and to see if there was anything I or we could do to help. And was struck by her appearance. I guess this is because she always seem strong to me, and always make sure I was doing as I was meant to. However when I saw her, I saw a women who was racked with fear, fear of the unknown, fear of the worry that her children may place her in a home and not let her go back, and after reading her chart, in a lot of pain (she hadn't been accepting any meds).
So after lecturing her with one of her own lectures that she gave me I finally convinced to accept some medication, (much to the delight of the nurses). And after reassuring her that I will with the help of the wonder support staff at the hospital make sure that she will be allowed to go home to her house when she is discharges.
So as the title suggest I am asking for everyone to send Annie your thoughts and prayers for a speedy and safe recovery.
