Thank you to all my thoughts friends who have been wondering where I have been.
The last few weeks have been hectic for me. Firstly I have had a few assignments for school to do, and even though I know what I am doing I still have to get these done. So I have now finished the first lot. Which not trying to blow my own trumpet here but basically I have finished the whole course in 4 weeks. So now I have been given more advanced assignments to do. I am still waiting for the challenge for me; I am hoping it will come soon. However this time the assignments are a little more detailed then the last lot. I have also managed to do 4 exams in this time too. Which has also put me so a head of the class that what I have covered in four weeks they will cover until the end of the year.
On top of all that I have had sick children. Wouldn’t it be great to have them all together, but no Murphy’s Law says one at a time. So they each got to spend a few days at home resting. Having the make shift bed on the couch to watch DVD’s and has their mother at their beckon and call. Then I have got a touch of the flu as well. This also coincided with a round of test at the hospital for a check up. But due to my flu a few things have come back suspect so I have to go back at the end of the week to have some more just to be sure that it is only just because of the flu. So everyone around me is walking on egg shells. Ohhh roll on Friday please. I will keep you up to date with that when I know something.
However I didn’t get to have my make shift bed on the couch, to watch movies and have someone at my beckon and call. mmmmmph . Ohhh well we women are strong and we soldier on no matter what.
The school concert is looming up quickly on Saturday and still I am waiting to have the finally costume needs told to me, hopefully soon. My daughter seems to have to be in both concerts on the day so it will be a long day for her and me. Ohhh great I can’t wait. (I hope that didn’t sound too sarcastic).
Finally after 4 months or more of waiting I have new guttering yippee no more wondering if the roof is going to collapse on me in the middle of the night due to the rain pour. I would hate to think if this was an emergency. But due to all the OH & S laws a cherry picker was needed being that we have a double storey house, and that was the delay, getting the cherry picker booked.
On a complete different change my daughter also informs me the other week that she has a boyfriend and that they hold hands at lunch time and swap sandwiches. Yes it is all innocent and I shouldn’t worry. But as I tried to explain to a friend, that girls her age can be quite mean. My daughter hasn’t had the best time at school over the years. And we have had many mornings where getting to school was an issue because of bullying and being teased. So I am worried that this is going to lead to a lot of teasing aimed at my daughter.
Many hours have been spent at therapy for her; to help her cope with this as she has such a sensitive soul and she isn’t very confident at the best of times. Also we have finally reached a happy medium and I would hate for all that hard work and times go down the drains with one comment and my daughter panicking. I have mentioned this to her therapist so she is going to work on it with her. Let’s keep our finger cross.
