To all my Aussie Counterparts who are fathers, grandfathers or such. I would like to wish you all a Happy Fathers Day and I hope that you had a wonderful day sharing it with the ones you love.
Father Is A Source of Strength
A father is a source of strength,
A teacher and a guide,
The one his family looks up to
With loving trust and pride...
A father is a helper
With a willing hand to lend,
A partner, an adviser,
And the finest kind of friend
And for my own Dad……

Dear Dad,
There is so much that you have missed, because you were taken away from me. I hope that you know I miss you greatly. And there are many times I go to pick up the phone to ring you to say ‘Hi’.
I wish that I could have one more hour with you, so that I could tell you all the things that I should have when you were alive.
I should have told you that I love you, that you mean the world to me. I miss the tenderness you had for me, though sometimes it was hard to see, but I knew that you were always there for me when I needed it.
I wish I could feel your arms around me, like when I was a girl who would climb up on to your knee and rest against your strong chest.
I wish I could know if you are proud of me. I know that at times our relationship was strained, but you’re my dad and I needed you, even though at times I told you different.
Rest in peace dad
I love you today, tomorrow and forever.

And now for the living…….
To my Husband,
Today is a day that many thought would never come your way. Today is that day you get to celebrate Fathers day. Today is that day that you two wonderful loving and adorable children and yes I know annoying at times, show you how much you mean to them.
And even though they are young and think that it is all about the present and have more fun with the present than you do, there will come a time when they are much older they will fully understand they true meaning of this day. I am so glad that I was able to give you this day, and give you your children.
So my love Happy Fathers day and I promise next year it won’t be burnt toast and runny eggs for breakfast.
Love always
KP
