6 Days is all it took

Two little budgies sitting on a perch,
One named Banana, one named Blue.
Fly away Banana, fly away Blue,
Come back Banana, come back………..!
Ohhh wait where is Blue

Have you ever sat and looked at those books “Where’s Wally”? Where there is so much going on in the book and everyone looks the same and camouflages in to everything and you have to find Wally.

Ha I have something even better to do. Go out at dusk and look in all the trees and see if you can see a Blue and White Budgie sitting around laughing at you. Okay well maybe not laughing at you more yelling at the top of his voice “I am Free”, ohhh alright maybe not even doing that maybe just flying away as quick as possible without looking back.

As you may have read previously the kids got two budgies for Christmas, and it was up to the kids to look after them, feed them and all the other responsibilities that go with owning a pet. Well during the day on warm days we had been putting the birds outside (yes in their cage, someone did ask if we took them out of the cage when they were outside).

The other night it was my daughters turn to bring them in, and some how and I still can’t work it out the cage ended up on the ground with the birds free. Blue flew off immediately and Banana stayed close by. We were able to catch Banana but not blue. So there were we were at dusk trying to see if we could find Blue, each holding on to a big hat, in case we saw it and could trap it (The only thing we could think off to catch him with). But no Blue.

Guess what is on the cards for today. Out to by a new Blue. And it only took six days.

You might try leaving an open cage outside. Many times the tame bird will take refuge there. I habe 3 birds myself. I would worry if one went missing.

Good luck!

Thank you for that suggestion I never thought about that

Why get another bird? The kids have proven that they cannot care for the bird like needs to be, are you trying to beat the old 6 day record? ... LOL

If only children were that easy to get rid of ... LOL

Perhaps the kids should try a "Homing-Pigion" ... LOL

I would wait a while before trying a dog ... LOL

Wait, I got an idea - Sea Monkeys! ... LOL

I will say a prayer for Blue, I hope he is OK.

I lost a cockatiel bc I had taught him to open his cage door. It was a cute trick til i put him outside on a summer day and he opened the door. He just flew off and never came back. I was so sad for a long time.

All jokes aside Hugh, It was an accident that the cage dropped, and so I think it would be a bit unfair of me to say no to another bird.

Don't worry I have tried to get rid of the children like that, but they are the homing pigion, they just keep coming back. lol. Ohh and as for dogs, no thank you, I have had my fair share of dogs, and am dogged out for now. Sea Monkeys have you seen those things they are ugggggggly.

Ohh I am sure blue is alright. I bet he has found a friend to play with him, or some other bird has taken him under their wing to care for him. lol

Maybe a cat or another animal pushed the cage and the cage door just fell open. :)
But I don't think an animal could've done all that unless the cage door was loose....anyway, I don't have a suggestion to help you get Blue back, so sorry.
