| Valentine's Day Follow up...

I said I would follow up with what happened on my Valentine's day with my girl and I. So, here it is.
I had already bought her a teddy bear puppy (not a bear, but a puppy cuz she wants a dog so bad but cant have one), a card, and some of her favorite chocolates. Yes, I know, very cliche, but i'm also short on money. I had planned on getting some italian food and bringing it home and the two of us eating and enjoying a movie. So we get home only to find two of our pledges for our sorority waiting there on us. Hoping they would leave soon, we continued on getting ready to eat. But..they didn't leave. So by the time we had to go help my brother set up, they still had not left.
Since, I had already promised that I would help my brother set up things with him and his girlfriend, my girl and I, and one of our friends who was just recently broken up with drove to pick up chinese for my brother. We came back to his apartment, set it up with rose petals on the table, candles, set up his roses, and put on a sweet cd of music for the two of them. After we finished we headed back home hoping the pledges would be gone by then. To no luck, we came in and realized that we would be spending our evening alone, with 3 other people. So sadly enough, there was no sweet alone time for us, no cuddling and watching the movie.
So there it is. My very un-romantic valentine's day to follow up an amazing evening from the past year.
How did ya'lls nights go? |

Awe, what a shame. I went to Newcastle for the week to be with my man. He had made a tonne of plans for Valentine's Day, culminating in a meal at an Italian restaurant on the seafront in the evening. I knew he had little money though, so leading up to it i managed to convince him the meal was not necessary (although he wasn't convinced).
We spent the morning having a lie in, in the afternoon I took a test and discovered I am three months pregnant (!!!) and in late afternoon/early evening, we took a walk down to the beach. It was cold, wet and very windy, but we sat on a bench on the promenade, wrapped up warm and ate fish and chips right out the paper...it was absolutely perfect, and a million times better than the meal in the posh restaurant would ever have been....(sighs....) xxx
Hope next year goes better for you!! xxx
