Recently, a friend of mine had to take a college writing proficiency exam to show she knows how to properly write a paper. The topic was gun control. Should all guns be outlawed on school (college) campuses? Or should students and teachers alike be allowed to carry a concealed weapon as long as they have the appropriate license?
I believe that no guns should be allowed on campuses regardless. (Not discussing cops here) If teachers fear for their safety to the extreme of carrying a loaded weapon in their purse, why not try a tasor? Less chance for some crazy newly single person to steal the purse, whip out the gun and blow away the dumpee and associated friends. We have had far too many school shootings in the past few years and adding a few more guns to the campuses in hands of those who dont know how to deal with a confrontation of that sort would do no good, only harm. Would you really feel safe to a) see someone burst into the room shooting and b) know that someone behind you has a concealed gun and is going to start shooting back? I personally would like to minimize the number of wild guns running around campus in that situation to the shooter and the police. I dont want some young wanna be hero running down the halls shooting wildly trying to save everyone and accidently hurt more people. This does not seem a good response to me.
I was curious as to what other people's views on the subject were? Any takers...?

I agree with you. There are too many crazy people out there for guns to be on campus's. It is dangerous. All these horrible things are happening on campus's everywhere.

Exactly, Faith. It would be idealistic to rid society of guns completely, but I know that will never/could never happen. Then instead of shootings we'd have...pencil stabbings! LOL

What about the people who believe they have been bullied, but have not? The ones who percieve something that is not true and act on that? There is no way to fix society problems of that size. We all can be nice to everyone and try our hardest to not worry about name brand clothes, but when it comes down to it, its each individuals mental stability that we need to worry about.
