 Just Wondering
I'm nauseated every time I hear or read about celebrities who are self destructing. I don't care about them or their multi-million dollar homes! They have no worries.

What I do care about is our troops who are dying daily to keep us safe! I care about the men and women who are losing their lives, their friends, their minds and their limbs.
I wonder who will care for them IF they can recover from the horrors of war. And, if they can't, will our society and the governement be dedicated to them for the remainder of their days? My personal guess would be..No!
Unfortunately, too many many people in our society are ignored and neglected of the most basic needs, shelter, food and clothes. The homeless and mentally ill are dismissed too many times as if they do not exist. Unbelievable!
Just a thought that makes me wonder why the greatest country in the world MIGHT be the most superficial. The people seem to cater to the rich and totally neglect the people who make this country great! It's the poor, honest, hardworking people that makes America great. It's not our leaders who care ONLY about their own agendas. Who knows? Who in power really care?
Just a thought.

Personal thoughts from a thinker who perhaps thinks too much.

I & many others in Australia wrote to John Howard not to support George Bush in the invasion of Iraq. Everyone knows there were no WMD. The depleted uranium lying around in Iraq was dropped in the first gulf war. Three & a half million people died in the Vietnam War & already around 700,000 people, most of them innocent civilians have died in Iraq. The invasion of Iraq has sharpened the teeth of muslim guerrilla fighters. The military of 'the willing' nations have followed the orders of their political masters & if they survive their deployment they will continue to suffer long after peace is restored. The horrible long term outcome is that Bush, Blair & Howard will expire in their leather arm chairs or in bed without ever having to pay personally for their dumb decisions. They will never be charged for initiating a terrible war that has turn Iraq into a bloody mess. Now Iraq has won a soccer match maybe they'll unite as one nation against the invaders & reclaim their oil wells from the multinationals & their contractors.

I agree with you 100%. One of my neighbors is a scientist. He was deployed to Iraq a few years ago. Nothing was found as the government wanted us to believe. War, in my opinion is ONLY to profit the politicians bank accounts. They have no clue as to what we, the the REAL WORLD encounter daily. It is becoming more of a struggle to make ends meet. It angers me that our law makers appear to care ONLY about their own agendas. Hopefully, oneday Iraq and many other countries will have the freedom of democracy that most desire.
