Wednesday, May 7

So I found out I need $300 for books.  I'm so flat broke, my hydro bill is $300 overdue, my cell phone bill is $175,  and my student loan just took the last $150 from my account.  I tried to buy 1 book and my card got declined, saying "insufficient funds" how embarrassing!

After class I went home, and I got a text from Poo.  He was asking how my day was.  I knew he was off and so I fished around to see if he'd like to hang out.  He knew I was off everyday at 1 o'clock.  He replied with, "I'm looking at fishing stuff.  Me and Jay are going fishing after Jay's done work."  Hmmm... o-k?!?  I haven't seen him since Saturday, and he's starting work tomorrow.  He's so had to read!

"Budsky" sent me a text me saying, "I want to do something, but I don't know what."  Is this a hint or something?  I said, "Rent a movie, cuddle a pillow"  ;P  We exchanged text messages for hours.  I was tempted to go and hang out with him, but I knew that would be wrong. 

Thursday, May 8

I was late for class and my classmate Andrea knows about my financial issues.  She offered to lend me the money to get my books!  I was so relieved!  She's such a great friend!  That made my day.

I talked to Poo later on during the day and I asked him, "Do you want to break up?  Because that's the vibe I'm getting from you as of lately."  He didn't respond.  He passed out from his first day back at work.  He's back in construction building houses and he hasn't done that much physical labour since January.  Ugh. 

So instead I hung out with my friend Louis who was visiting from Ottawa.  We went out for a couple of beers.  He announced he's moving across the country!  I'm happy for him.  He's set.  All he needs to do now s find a good woman!  I ran into a friend of Budsky's and text him to let him know.  He was hurt that I didn't invite him out.  Whoopsie!

Friday, May 9

I bought my books and now I feel caught up in class again.  I hate feeling left behind!  I was so tired though and my eyes were so heavy the whole entire class!  I felt kinda bad I was hardly paying attention to my professor!  I couldn't wait to go home and nap!

Poo was at work and was texting me all afternoon.  I told him I was tired and really needing a nap before I start work at 6 in the evening.  He asked to hang out after I was done.  I said sure.  I figured if we're going to break up, might as well do it in person.  The funny thing is, I am expecting it, and not sad about it at all!

Work was busy!  I work part-time as a waitress at a popular family restaurant.  It was crazy!  I made some good money though.  I really need it!  I need to pay Andrea back!

Some of my co-workers wanted to hang out after work at Demetrie's, a dessert/coffee house.  I had to decline.  They were surprised.  I always say yes to any invitation.  I told them, "I have to meet a friend".  No one knows about Poo, I figured I would keep my personal life out of work, especially after me and Budsky.  We work together and during the couple of months we were dating, everyone in the store knew about our business.  When things didn't work out, they thought it would be awkward.  I think it was more awkward for them than it was for me and Budsky! 

Budsky was asking "Birdie" who was going to Demetrie's.  She named a few people, then she added, "And Gem and her friend might come too."  I heard some whispering.  I think Budsky asked Birdie if my friend was a guy or girl.  I told Birdie it was a guy, and I think she told Budsky.  He's not stupid, so I think he declined the invitation too.  I think he got a little upset since he didn't even say goodbye to me when he left the restaurant.

Poo and I had some wings.  We hung out for a bit and talked.  He said, "I missed you Poo.  Didn't  you miss me this week?"  I said, "Yeah, but I was upset with you."  He nodded and said, "I know.  And that's why I was kinda staying away."  I told him, "We can take things slow, I just didn't think it would be snail-pace slow!"  He revealed that ever since he asked me to be his gf, he's been scared out of his mind.  I thought so.  told him, "If you know I'm upset, don't leave me alone.  I get more angry the more you try to avoid me."  He's new to these relationship stuff.  I figured I might have to teach him a few things.

So we didn't break up.  I figured I would see how things go in the next couple of weeks, but if he keeps acting like a child, then I will have to break it off.

Saturday, May 10

I woke up early this morning.  My dad walked into my room to give me $300 for my books.  I was surprised.  Ever since I went back to school, I have always paid for everything on my own.  I told them I was having a tough time paying bills and paying for school on a part-time salary.  They understood.  They even paid for the hydro bill that was way overdue.  A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders.  I can pay Andrea now and not have to worry about the hydro bill.  I was relieved.

I ate lunch with my parents, got ready, and picked up one of my bestfriends, "Nikki".  I wanted to go to the local hospital to inquire about volunteer work.  I figured, if I want to work at a hospital, I should get my foot in the door in any way I can.  Someone advised me that I should do volunteer work to gain experience too.  Brilliant idea!  Nikki and I even went to a long-term facility (home for the elderly) and I applied for volunteer work there too.  The more I have on my resume, the better it looks!

I dropped by my 2nd part-time job to check my schedule.  We have a staff meeting tomorrow!  Then Nikki and I grabbed a couple of ice cream cones and shopped at the mall for a bit.

At 5 p.m. I was at the restaurant to begin my shift.  It was crazy busy!  I was serving tables from when I came in until 8:30 p.m. non-stop.  The time went by quickly!  I made awesome tips though.  I closed the restaurant and was home by midnight.  Poo went to his other job (he also has 2 like me) after our late night last night.  I text him to say hi, but figured he'd be fast asleep.  He pulled a 10 hour shift (warehouse work) while running on 2 hours of sleep!  I don't know how he does it sometimes.

Budsky was a little distant at work today.  I had asked him to bring back a pair of sunglasses I had left behind at his house almost 3 weeks ago.  He keeps forgetting them.  He was off before I was so he text me to let him know when I was off so he could drop off my sunglasses.  I told him he could just bring them at work tomorrow.  It's better that way.

Tomorrow is Mother's Day!  My restaurant is going to be rammed!  I'm not looking forward to it, but what can you do?  Hopefully I can make some good cash.  Maybe I'll grab some flowers for my mommy in the morning.
