I would have to agree with wedge47 and HungryHeart. You should do what makes you happiest the most. Don't settle just because it's the "right thing to do". Sometimes you have to let someone go to realize how much you really loved them... which sounds to me like the case you have with your ex. Just do what your heart tells you. It's better to take the risk and learn from it, than never taking that risk and having to wonder "What if???" for the rest of your life. Good luck!
