Important Cameras In Photography (Part 4)

Digital Camera - Steven Sasson and his digital camera

Steven Sasson, an engineer for the Eastman Kodak Company, is credited with the first attempt at building the digital camera that we know and use today. The camera was built solely for the purpose of being able to see if it could be accomplished. The camera itself weighed about 8 pound and had a megapixel size of only 0.01 megapizels. The photograph was taken in December of 1975 and had an exposure time of twenty-three seconds. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_camera)
