 Day One
So my first day in Mexico was definitely memorable.  Got up at 4 AM to get my flight, then arrived in my apartment at about noon local time.  After spending about an hour unpacking and setting up the place to my desire, I was picked up by Fidel and his family to go to lunch.  He drove me around town a little bit, showing me where the Soriana (the main store) and the gym are.  We went to a really nice place, and the food was excellent.

After lunch, I got back to my apartment and unpacked a little more, and decided to do some grocery shopping and go for a run.  I thought I remembered where the Soriana was, but after 30 minutes of walking in one direction I realized I had no idea where I was going.  The run was also a no-go, you try walking around in 100 degree heat then going for a run.  Not going to happen.  So for dinner I had Ritz crackers and water.  Delicious.

Fidel's son picked me up at about 7:30 and we went to this guy Esteban's house.  I tried tequila for the first time, but don't worry, I didn't get drunk.  They asked me at if I wanted to join them at a nightclub about thirty minutes from here, but I just wasn't up for it after two hours of sleep and all of the other things that happened throughout the day.

I got back to the room and tried to watch some TV, but the television service is very different from in the states.  There are about 900 channels, but I can only watch about 100 of them without paying extra.  So after flipping through about every channel I decided it was time for bed.

Today's another shot at finding Soriana and getting some Manzana Lift to have for the rest of my trip, and hopefully some to bring back home as well.
