Mom did make it to her appointment this morning. I was up and over at 8 am to let out her dog and feed him. Mom returned home around 10 am. I asked her what the scoop poop was? She said she never had the stress test because they made her wait over two hours before they began the testing which would have taken another several hours. The chair she was placed in caused her terrible pain which prevented her from completing the test. Mom was told the day before that she could not take any pain medication for this test. She complied with these instructions and, as a result, suffered greatly. The nurse at the stress center said she could have taken her pain meds. You can guess how that bit of news upset Mom! She can't and then she can. Mom said she finally endured all that she could and told them to forget the whole thing. They told her to come back tomorrow and Mom told them "No way Jose!"
No stress test was done, and after this unfortunate experience, Mom refuses to go back. I don't blame her. We sort of think that her surgeon wanted this stress test just to milk the system. Mom has opted for a saddle block when she has her surgery. The block simply numbs her from the waist down. There is considerably less stress to the heart with this particular procedure. I've been under anesthesia four times in my life and it is very hard on the body. Takes time for the body and organs to wake up and function normally.
Pouring holy water outside at this moment. It has been raining off and on all day. The thirsty desert is rejoicing in the rain. Feels like Christmas with the soft chill of the moisture. I am pooped. Been a long day. I remain in Christ and remain optimistic.

Hope that things go well for your mom. It does sound like that doc just ordered the test to make it look like he was doing something. Good luck to her in her surgery.

Maybe, it's a good thing that your mom was NOT able to take the stress test....I had to have that done recently, and believe me, it was not pleasant! I will be praying all goes well with her surgery....Please keep us updated. Hope you're feeling better yourself! :)
