It saddens me to see people critisize another for their spiritual beliefs. I may be a Christian, but I still respect nonchristians who have chosen a different path to God. I happened along several blogs attacking Christianity and other belief systems. I was left wondering what these people get from blasting Jews, Christians, and Muslims.
Since the beginning of time, evil has been committed under the mask of religion and politics. Evil is evil no matter what mask evil is wearing. This is not to say all Christians, Jews, and Muslims are doers of evil. Granted, there are those who call themselves Jewish, Christian, and Muslim, yet walk in hatred, committing hurtful acts against others.. It's not the faith that's evil; it's the person behind the religious or political mask that is evil. Evil people will exploit anything that will empower them and further their cause, especially politics and religion. Hatred does not come from God. Hatred comes from people who walk with malice is their heart. Hatred does not come from Christianity, Islam, or Judaism. It comes from hateful people who hide behind the mask. We defeat hatred by loving. We defeat darkness by shining light. We defeat anger by forgiving and understanding. We defeat ingorance by seeking wisdom. In the eyes of our creator, we are all equal. Live and let live.
Jesus is the embodiment of uncondtional love. His teachings are about love, faith, and hope. Why would anyone critisize persons who choose to follow His path of love and light? Wisdom tells us not to tear down that which promotes love and forgiveness. Why tear down something all of us want - Love, peace of mind, peace in the world, and the end of all evil and hatred.? When you critisize the Christian faith, you are finding fault with love, hope, and goodwill to all mankind.
When a person strikes out at another with hateful words, the person striking out is more about hate rather thant love. And when this same person slams Christianity, what is really abiding in their heart? Surely it is not love. Surely it is not compassion. Surely it is not wisdom or integrity. Surely it is not peace. Surely it is not light. When you see the Christian missionary risking their life overseas to help the poor and starving, you are witnessing a heart of love and compassion.in action - a heart filled with Jesus. This is a bad thing?
Some people walk in love and some walk in hate. Which one are you?
