 Meet It With Love
Meet Everything With Love

As I was writing this blog post, it dawned on me that the word "love" can be interchanged with "God" or "Jesus" most of the time.   Read through this post once, and then, again, substituting the word  Love with Jesus or God when you can . . . and a bright light shines forth.

Love is never tired of waiting; love is kind; love has no envy; love has no high opinion of itself, love has no pride;  Love's ways are ever fair, it takes no thought for itself; it is not quickly made angry, it takes no account of evil; It takes no pleasure in wrongdoing, but has joy in what is true;  Love has the power of undergoing all things, having faith in all things, hoping all things.
(1 Corinthians 13: 4-7)

. . .  But now we still have faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
(1 Corinthians 13:13)

_____________

When we leave this world, we are required to give an accounting for our acts in this life. There is only one question that we should be concerned about answereing:

"Did I love deeply and without condition?"  If we can earnestly answer "Yes," then we shall consider our time well spent and our purpose in living fulfilled.

I believe that there is no power greater than Love, and no act more important than loving.

". . . and God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son."
(John 3:16)

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
(1 John 4:8)

True Love is unconquerable and irresistable; and it goes on gathering power and spreading Itself, until eventually it transforms everyone whom it touches.

Love has no boundaries.

All Love is Divine.   Love is eternal.

Love and giving are inseparable as the Lily and its fragrance.

Love is Holy, for Love is Love.

Love is uncompromising in Its commitment to Its own purpose.

With Love we learn to forgive, and with forgiveness, compassion.  Love is forgiveness.  Love is compassion.

Love remains constant through the evolution of Its expression.

Jesus beseeched us, "Love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength; this is the greatest teaching of all."  This is absolute truth.  Love is truth.   God is in everything and is everything.  When we love all people and all things, we love God.  And when we simply love God, all things reveal themselves to embody His Holy Presence.

Love is the true healing force of the universe.

Love cannot be bought, sold, or reduced to any kind of commodity.  We can sell our possessions, our bodies, our thoughts, and our work, but love is ever free of ownership.  It simply shines without regard for who or what It touches.  The sun shines equally on the morning glory and on the weed.

Love satisfies.

Love is blind and blessedly so. Love is not blind to the Truth, but, rather, it simply disregards the unimportant aspects of personality that we often, mistakenly, call "truth."

Sometimes we may feel we have been injured or disappointed in Love. In our suffering we may be tempted to believe that we have been forsaken by, or exiled from Love.  Take heart, beloveds; Love could no more turn Its back on us than the sun deny itself to the treetops, or the ocean refuse to accept the rivers.  No, beloveds, Love is as certain as Life and as constant as the mother's heartbeat to the babe in the womb.

Love only comes to us when we love.

Love reveals Itself to be the Holy Spirit.  One has described the Holy Spirit of Love thus: "We cry out, 'Where can I find the Holy Spirit?. . . Tell me where to go, what to do! ' Meanwhile, the Holy Spirit is pouring to us  and through us, waiting only for our quiet acceptance to reveal Itself."  Instead of grieving, "I want Love," we need only to affirm "I Love."

Love everything, including yourself.  Love your enemy.
When you meet anger or frustration, meet it with Love by thinking Love.   Think Love in all circumstances.
Love transforms and heals.  Love begets Love.

My thoughts:

I have been challenged by a few negative people at work. These are poeple who haven't grown at the same rate as me in terms of Love.  If I am around them for any great length of time, I am transformed into someone that I don't want to be.  I feel impatience welling up. I feel frustration, and I want to pass judgement at times.  My Holy Conscience sees the error of my ways and pushes me towards a healing resolution.  Healing hasn't come easy, but when I made a conscious effort to tell myself "to love" that which is before me, healing  transformation ensued.  I developed patience which can only come from Love.

God is in everything, including those negative people that challenge my patience.  God is love and I love God; therefore, I love this negative person.

Last night, I practiced loving.  I met everything  with Love.  Praise the Lord!  I had a blessed, loving night at work.  The first in a very long time.

Meet everything with Love.  Think "Love" in everything.
Love conquers impatience, anger, frustration etc.  Meet everything with Love.  To have Love, give all your Love.  Give Love your all.

What a great reminder to love...with real love the love of God. We are unable to love without Him first loving us...and of course His love for us is never changing.
Sorry to hear about working with negative co-workers...but you've got the right idea just keep loving and don't let their negative attitude rub off on you.
God Bless!

Such excellent advice and I shall try using it today. When I try to be good to people, to 'love' a little more, I generally find I have a much easier and more pleasant day. Sometimes the devil takes control and I allow other people to make me feel negative and I reply with venom which I cannot stand in myself. So you are right - we need to give love our all. Thank you

Hello 'Sister'! Really like your new 'About Me' page! :)

1 Peter 4:8
And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”

....often times, it's easier said than done, but, if we keep going to the 'rock' (Jesus), He will refill us over and over again with His love, spilling over to others! In Christ, Alice

I like your new avatar, too! It reminds me of a cute little church dress, my daughter had as a young child. It was dark green with a white bodice and 3/4 sleeves with the 'lion and the lamb' screen print across the front of the bodice. Guess I'm rambling, now.....oh, well....a 'senior moment'!? lol!

Thank you all.

I love you all and I thank you for your positive affirmations. Alice, I have always been fond of the Lion and the Lamb, and I came across this picture which included a dove.

May we meet the day with a deep and abiding love for all things. May we meet every circumstance, good and bad, in the Spirit of Love.

Thank you for posting Corinthians-my favourite verses in the Bible. I like your attitude to negative people at work. Because we meet such people everyday and it is often very hard to deal with them. I think everyone should take an example by you and your thoughts.
