To think positive is to think in infinite terms and think with God. I say this because God is infinite, positive and God can do anything. When we think with God, we can do anything. When we stay in ourselves, we actually think in finite terms, thus we become limited in what we can do and achieve.
The key to success in life is to know without a doubt that God is our Parent (Mother/Father) who wants only the best for us. All failure stems from the mistaken thought that we do not deserve the best that life has to offer. This is how we think with limitations. Once we step outside ourselves and into the spiritual realm of God we recognize that we are, indeed, Divine Children of God. We were ceated to be magnificent. We were created to be great. We were created to be happy.
I have grown in my faith and honestly believe that the power of positive thinking is a never-failing power and prerequisite for all that is good in life. Given the infinite realm of God and Spirit, if we move into this infinite power through faith, we can't help but become positive, believing in our families, our friends, our work, and even ourselves. We have got to know the rightness of our hopes, our aspirations, and our goals. God is searching for people who will trust in the dreams He gives to us. There are so few people who are willing to take the inspiration that God breathes into them and hold tenaciously to it until the possibiltiy becomes a reality. Being centered in ourselves and in things of this world, our view of the infinite heavens and stars is blocked. Being in ourselves and in the world, we tend to settle for second best, and often settle for nothing.
How we use our mind is crucial to our finding and getting what we want out of life, and giving what we want to it. Success, love, happiness, and abundance are not given to a previleged few by the whim of a capricious God. Those who enjoy happiness do so because they have earned it with their thoughts. They have the faith that God is working for their good, and that every moment of life is a precious gift. By so thinking, they open the door to goodness, success, love, happiness, and abundance.
Drawing from my own experiences, I can honestly tell you that I could never achieve long lasting joy, happiness, and contentment when I was depending solely on Self. If I did experience abundance, it was fleeting. It never lasted. By remaining in self I was drawing upon a power that had limitations and restrictions. Why? Because I had low self-esteem and an undesirable self-image. I had little faith in others, including myself, and I unconsciously allowed negativity to rush in when I confronted adversity. In short, staying in self kept me in a mental and emotional state that kept my thoughts in chains.
Stepping outside of self and into the realm of God and Spirit, we begin to understand that we cannot allow temporary setbacks to be a cause for disappointment. God often has a larger plan for us than we have for our little selves. Too often we overlook opportunities because we do not live in the expectation of goodness and positivity. We believe that something is too good to be true, when, in fact blessings are the only thing good enough to be true. We often unconsciously think with limitations. God pulls us outside ourselves, and faith shakes lose those binding chains of negative thinking.
Going a little deeper, abundance is not something that we create, but that we accept. We can look at God, consciousness, and man through the symbol of the hourglass. God's infinite abundance is above us, waiting to flow down, and we have the space to hold it all. At the meeting point, at that thin little juncture of the upper and lower parts of the hourglass, is our mind. It regulates how much can come through. If our mind is small, tight, and fearful, a few meager grains will squeek through. If the mind is open, free, and expansive, all of God's riches can pour through. We receive as much as we are willing to let in.
Real positive thinking means learning to look at all of life from a positive view point. It doesn't mean just making money, gaining health, and finding the right spouse. Real positivity means seeing the blessedness in everything. And "Boy!" when we get God in us, everything is perceived as blessed. Real positivity means tearing down our old tapes, our old judgements and opinions of what is good and what is bad, what is right and what is wrong, It means owning up to the truth that God is and lives in everything, and there is not one thing that exists, or one event that occurs that is not blessed by the Light of God. Simply, it means being willing to relinquish our mortal limited opinions that come from Self. When we do release these binding concepts, we are initiated into a new level of evolution; the realm of God consciousness. This simply means that we see all as God and all as Good.
Overcoming negation with God (love) is a matter of attunment. We must concentrate on that which is Good, Beautiful, and True. If there seems to be 999 negative attributes of a situation, and one positive aspect, we must seize on that one good thing, bless it, hold to it with determination. We must meditate on it, be grateful for it, exaggerate it, and glorify it. We can find that our scanty trickle of goodness has opened into a moving stream, and then into a rushing river which pours into the ocean of God's storehouse of abundance. Let me add that the one positive attribute for me is God.
God's Kingdom offers us limitless abundance. Blessings are being offered to all of us without condition or limit. It's all already given to us. The key to the Kingdom are ours whenever we are willing to accept them. What we have to lose is fear, lack, limitation, and sorrow, What we have to gain is peace of mind, success, health, and love. We do not need to become anything that we are not already. We need only say "Yes!" to what the universe would just love to give us. We need to think with God. Amen.
