Hi Alice: Milk Thistle is one of the supplements I take. I have been taking Lecithin too, but go a little careless the past month. I am back to doing my supplement regiment. Hard to keep up when I'm doing those long 12-hour shifts and 16-hour days. I'm familiar with the overcounter Thyroid medications since I have used them before. I think that the prescription may be cheaper and may, therefore, opt for the script this time. I will get back to the supplements in time. I'll be out shopping today and scan the shelves. My iodine intake is not good since I don't use iodize salt anymore. Thanks Alice for reminding me about the Thyroid supplements. I had fogotten. I will look on Mom today. They just had her running the past three days. At 83 this kind of stress seems rather silly given Mom's pain issues and age. Run her into the ground before she goes in for surgery. I'm am feeling better. Praise the Lord.

g'night our sweet Kentlass. I remember the water turtles in Houston. There were so many along the creek. Pure delight!

You all are so appreciated! Thank you. And Deb. . . your Dad really recovered quick - a beautiful blessing from God.

Most of us don't bite. Some nibble a little, but that's the extent of it. Take care dear, Kim

I love these little bluders that we make. Your little booboo is classic! I love it. If I go back to the olden days (when I was about 5 or 6 years old) I recall snorkeling for the first time at La Jolla Cove. The first fish I saw (bait fish) was news and I shared that with my mother. I told her I saw a "stink fish." She asked Dad, "Wes, what is a stink fish?" Dad said, "I don't know for sure but there are alot of 'smelt' swimming around." See the similarities? Now I have to tell you that I was thrilled to hear that your Thanksgiving was about family (children and more). Only the best for you! Have you got your Christmas shopping completed? Hugs to you my friend, Kim

Thankful that I am here to be thankful for you and the crew posting above this one. How is your father doing? Is he using that new hip well? We are hoping Mom can get her surgery. Caridologist is testing her heart tomorrow to see if it will bear up under stress (knee replacement surgery). Give me a shout and let me know how you are doing too? Hugs to you my friend, Kim

Thank you all for your sweet comments. I did get blood results back and my thryroid is a tad low and liver enzymes elevated. The latter is probably to my cocoa consumption and the migraine meds I had been taking when I was working. I was getting those blasted headaches every day. Since I've been on leave, no headaches. Mom undergoes a chemical stress test tomorrow morn. Doctor wants to see how the heart responds to stress. My prayers go right to the Lord on this one. Praying all is good enough to get her through surgery. Amen. Amen.

Beautiful tribute Roe! Need I tell you that my father wore the same name. . .Wes that is. He, too, was an upstanding and outstanding human being. We salute "Wes!" Hugs, Kim

Dearest Roe: Bob will be in my prayers. I, too, have a lost brother (twin brother) who alienated himself from the family back in 1994 when my father died. I have not seen nor heard from him in so many years. I just pray and trust that the Lord is watching out for him. My twin, like Bob, had serious issues with drugs. May God keep both of them under His wings of shelter and may they hear the Lord's voice calling for His lost. Godly love to yo, Roe. Kim

Yes! Or should I say "Yes-hua?" The indewelling of the Spirit by faith. I understand the verse, "Faith moves mountains." My pursuit of Faith does and has moved moutains. It's a Faith in an unseen God, yet visible and viable Spirit.

Roe: Humor is tragic when we think about it. You took something which I'm sure was very painful for you back then and made it into light. That's a gift. Yes, I saw the movie you referred too. I cried watching it. My twin brother and I have a friend that was a bed wetter when he was younger. We overlooked it and never gave it a second thought back then. Our friend had such a wonderful spirit which my twin I so dearly appreciated. So many fond memories of the three of us together. Thanks for sharing. You are appreciated and I love your wit. Godly love, Kim

Oh you. . . . you have a way of thoughts into words so eloquently. Lovely post as you consistanly do. Wise old soul you are. I, too, have spent time working in the medical profession. Much of my time was spent caring for hospice patients. I, too, have sat and held many hands as the beautiful people I had come to know took their last breath in their vessel. Death is such a spiritual experience and I can honestly say that my hospice experience is what sparked my spirituality. Blessings Old Soul to you, Kim

Roe, you are a poet and didn't know it. Deb. You may share. Just edit out the typos. I still haven't done it yet. Procrastination is my second occupation.

Everyone is at different stages of growth. You are evolving. Deb and Alice is right. We approach adversity with forgiveness and love. We pray for those who have fallen off the path of truth and righteousness. We pray that they may grow in love and truth too. Keep your sights on the Kingdom of God, everything else passes away. May God lighten your load and put light upon your path. Kim

There are things that are good for your health that help increase metabolism and fat burn. Virgin coconut oil is good for the thyroid. CLA, L Carnetine, alpha lipoic acid, green tea are all good for overall health and increase metabolisn, Avoid all grains and eat more vegetables and meat. Keep your carbohydrate intake below 60 grams.

The reason we went in was based on untruths. Notice how the reason has changed over time. Now that we are there, new problems have been born. Hence, we need to stay in till stability is a reality. Middle East has always been an unstable region. We haven't helped matters, and in someways have contributed to the instability. We will be there for some time.
