The hardest part is sitting with those icky feelings which, if you remember, are not fact. Just reading what you wrote I can see alot of recovery growth in you Sarah. I try and have a game plan ready when I have those bad feelings. A game plan of things to do to make me feel better. Do you have a game plan?
Keep growing. I've just had a relapse myself, but no guilt there. Got to press on. I am so very proud of you. It is hard work, but you will get buff.
Comfort hug to you,
Kim

I love this poem. Such a wonderful reminder. It really helps me to redirect my priorities. Every once in awhile it comes around in my email, usually by the person who brought me to Christ many years ago. How many times have we said, "I don't have the time?"

Absolutely and postively! My life is a living testimony of healing. Satan can knock me down put he can't prevent me from getting up. The Lord's hand is right there to lift me up faithfully every time. Satan can go "sit on a tack." That's a line in a hymn that makes me smile each time I hear it.

Stress is so insidious and attacks us in so many unsuspecting ways. When you go do your teaching always remember you have something to offer these kids. You can make a difference. You can be their miracle with just a few thought provoking words. You are the light of the world.
Keep up the good fight.

So sorry to hear that you too are battling the meloncholy. Seems like both you and I are taking on more than the "average bear." Some "yogi" (aka yoga) might be good for us. Breeeeeathe deep and exhale. May you feel His love during your down time.
Sweet blessings to you my sister in Christ.

My twin brother, one year asked for a tape dispenser and so that is what he got. We still get a laugh out of that story when family comes together. Another year, all five kids asked for bow and arrow. We got them and spent years active in archery.

O Mr. Pauligan, you are such a wise old soul. So many of us think we do handle the sadness in our lives, when we really do tuck them away. They surface and many still won't face the pain, but turn it outward or inward. Addictions, self-contempt, outward-contempt are reflections of unresolved pain. As a sufferer of Body Dysmorphic Disorder, I do see how unresolved pain becomes so detrimental. Denial keeps us from growing and so many of us do that. Before we know it, we have developed unwanted coping behaviors which really causes us even more pain in the end.
Those who heal pursue faith, hope, and love. The love has to start with loving ourselves. Then comes forgiveness by loving others unconditionally. It takes perseverance and hard work and the will to change. So much more to it I'm afraid to say. Got to have that hope in order to move forward, yet there are many who feel hopeless and helpless in this life.
YOu are a good man Mr. Pauligan. An old soul you are.

Beautiful post Deb. Wonderful message and so eloquently put. You are, indeed, a gifted writer. Anna and family are a living testimony of faith and perseverence. The fight of one child and family has brought so many together in love, faith and hope. The word "revival" comes together and I see that happening through Anna's fight.
YOu are a blessing to me Deb.

Hi Amanda: My Dad battled Sarcoma years back. His siblings, including myself, have done much reading on Cancer of the years and being proactive about it. If you woul like to pick my brain feel free. I know some great web sites and can share what I know about getting proactive with various alternatives while you undergo radiation. Only if you are open to it. In the meantime, I am here praying in the Sprit of Christ, for complete and miraculous healing. I ask in the name of Christ that the Sarcoma be wiped out by His Spirit within you In devout faith,

Set him free. Go on living your life and make new friends. He's got alot of excess baggage right now and you don't need to be bogged down with that. Seek someone who gets high on life and not on substances. Alot of good men out there, but you will miss them waiting for this young man to shape up.

Reasons for Everything......A testimony on 2007-10-07 18:44:08 |

Thank you for sharing your testimony. It is such a blessing to hear how God is working in the lives of others. God had placed a certain individual in my path to draw me to Him; hence, my days have since been filled with His love and healing. God is so wonderfully faithful and I am thrilled to hear of Natalies progress, and I trust that I will hear more of God's healing now that God has brought a new friend into her life. More healing for Natalie and healing for Nat's new friend who is still seizing. Their is a Godly purpose working here. Hallelujah.
In His healing grace,
Kim

I've got my dog on a regiment of two different kinds of antibiotics and pray this will do the trick. I picked up some acidophilus tabs to help replace the good bacteria that the antibiotics kill of. Mom is a trooper but her pain has be concerned. I did call into work yesterday to be there for her. Hopefully, my oldest sister will be home from her summer stay in Massachusetts to help with her care. She does go in for hip replacement surgery the 3rch of December - a different kind of concern given her age. I give it to the Lord and let Him get us through. Thanks you two for your beautiful light. You both put a smile on my face.

Another day on 2007-10-03 22:39:31 |

Hello Bob:
I have been away from this site for a few days and I am glad that I came back to it to find your post. You have captured my heart with your physical, emotional, and social trials. In your writings I see a man of courage, strength, and endurance. I have worked hospice years back and am familiar with ALS, MS, and MD for many of my patience bore those afflictions. My father fought a long, hard battle with Sarcoma. He told me that he didn't know how to quit and that he would keep on fighting to the end and during the interim he would not dwell on the negatives. He continued to do what he loved and spent as much time with his family as he could. That's what you need to do. And if you can get to Mexico, then do it. We can do alot in one week or two. I ask you take each day and look for all the little blessings around you. It is those little blessings that make us sing and dance. You have a hard fight with this ALS, fight it in the spirit of love and in the spirit of appreciation of what you do have. I ask you not to focus on what you won't have. Live for this very moment. Take a deep breath and say right now it is good. God bless your beautiful spirit. Alice and the rest of us are here and if we could, we would reach through cyber space and give you a huge hug. I shall pray that you have many good days to come. Look up and don't give up. You've got right now and, frankly, that is what we all really have. Your story makes the rest of us appreciate more of what we have right now. God bless you through and through.
If you need anymore hugs, I'm right here. I could use the exercise too.
Godly love to you dear Bob,
Kim

No sin is unforgivable in Christ. When you read the bible you will find that David, Moses, and many others were murders but found favor in the eye's of God. All sins will be forgiven in Christ with a repentant walk.
