Okay. . . Got home from work this morning and exhaled knowing that I have three days off before I have to go back for another four days. So much happens at work because I am interacting with at least 100 inmates in a 12-hour shift. I believe I averaged the usual four hours of sleep per day. I stopped by Mom's during the work week to check up on my little Shadow. Looked like she developed a kennel cough, so when I got home from work this morning, I took her in to see the vet. We got some antibiotics to treat the cough which is rampant at the Humane Society and in kennels. We are watching Mom's dog Bubba for cough symptoms. So far he hasn't shown any indication he has contracted it. The inccubation period for the bug is 8 to 10 days.

After I took Shadow to the vet I swung by the health food store to pick up some Omega Fish Oil and Vit. C for my dogs immune system. I am bound and determined to get her healthy and keep her healthy for a long time. If anyone knows anything about supplements I can give her for optimum health, please feel free share. I wish to educate myself on canine nutritions and health, so if you know what I can give my dog to keep her excellent health, please do share your blessed knowledge.

When I was at the health food store, I got to conversing with the clerk running the store. Found out she was Christian so we traded our testimony and witness. She had a period in her life where so many negatives were pressing in on her. You know how it is when things go wrong, everything does. Murphy's Law at work. Well she said she hit bottom. While at the bottom, she went for a God walk and poured her soul out to the Lord as she walked.. She told the Lord that she was at a point of giving up and that she needed to feel connected to Him more than ever. She pleaded with Him to do whatever it takes to get her reconnected and standing strong in His presence and she would do the same.. She said she looked down and their was this brass coin at her feet. She picked it up and read the inscription which read, "Whatever Iit takes." This gal pulled from her purse this very coin and set it on the store counter.. I picked it up and sure enough it read, "Whatever it takes." Didn't take long for my eyes to water up with tears. I am always in awe of how the Lord comes to us when we need him the most! For her it was an inscripted coin and for me three sparrows. His Amazing Grace at work! Amen.
