 I Made A Faux Pas...
In light of something someone commented on my last blog, I felt I should clear the air about something.

I, personally, don't see anything wrong with a responsible adult smoking a little weed now and then. I gave it up when I gave up my cigarettes. In my last blog, I made reference to it but, I meant it as a metaphor. I wrote "We all need to roll a big freakin joint, sit in a big freakin circle..."

What I was alluding to was, first of all, the hippies of the 60's. It was also meant to represent something that the whole lot of us could share in together, something to unite us.

If the words that I wrote upset or bothered anyone, I apologize. It was not my intention. To the person who commented about it, I truly respect what you had to say and thank you, not only for reading but, for sharing your honest opinions.

The best to all of you!
Jennifer

Well, I know of what you were talking about, and I thought the comment a little stupid.I have never heard of weed being addictive, I may be wrong, but I haven't.I use to smoke weed, grow weed, and occasionally sell weed.I gave up a long time ago, justs puts me to sleep, so why bother.

you are most definitely wrong.. and I know from my son's first hand experience. over 30,000 people a year in the US are treated for marijuana addiction. and that's the hell of it.. nobody believes it.. you can't get treatment.. it's everywhere you go.. and even if you quit you're always tempted and it's so easy just to get a medical card. I meant my post to be an educational moment.. to make people realize that getting to smoke a joint legally is going to have hidden costs. but I picked a bad spot.. and Jennifer, I'm sorry I caused you difficulty. I didn't at all mean to denigrate your message.. with which I'm in definite agreement..Please accept my apologies. incidentally,I definitely agree with medical use of marijuana.. but think it should be dispensed like other drugs..

Like I said I could be wrong, I really never heard of anyone addicted to weed.

I smoked weed for 5 years right after high school...and I was able to quit without a problem whatsoever. One day I just woke up, decided I'd done enough...and that...was that. That was the end of my smoking days.
