In school no one should feel like they need to dress a certain way, act a certain way, talk a certain way, etc………. to feel accepted. If someone isn’t like you it doesn’t give you the right to talk about them. If someone isn’t outgoing but have a quiet personality they shouldn’t be reminded every day or asked “why they don’t talk a lot? “ There are so many types of people in the world but all we can do is sit back and past judgment on others. Why is it that so many people are afraid to act like themselves? Why can’t people be accepted for who they are no matter what? We can’t act like ourselves because most of us are to afraid they want fit in. I don’t talk a lot which people make sure to remind me of, I wish they didn’t. So what if I don’t talk a lot it’s not bothering them so why should they care? We live in society were there’s an unwritten law on what normal really is. We shouldn’t care what people think about us, but yet we do. People say “words can never hurt us” who ever said that lied, words do hurt. They hurt a lot.

There's this girl in two of my classes who talks a certain way and it makes people laugh (not out loud) at her. I agree that it is a funny way to talk but don't we all have something weird about us? Good entry, Jasmine16 :)

OMG I see what you are saying. I was always a loner and I didn't talk to ppl that much because to me it felt like in order to fit in, I have to dress like, act like, talk like to be accepted by ppl. Yes words do hurt but we can't let that get to us. PPL often say mean things to me but then it hurts but for years ppl have been treating me that way.
