| You say |
|
This is a poem I wrote before my current boyfriend. I was 16 when I wrote it, about a boy called Robin.
You say "Things aren’t going to well",
But nothing I try to do helps,
You say it’s my fault then wonder why,
I feel that I can’t supply,
You don’t understand how hard I try,
Every day, not allowed to start a fight,
Not allowed to be moody,
To drink too much coffee,
I can’t be bossy, or get angry,
I can’t even wash my hair without your say so
I just want to tell you to ‘GO’
But then it comes back down to when you’re nicer
‘Cuz I don’t want you to be someone else’s either
You kiss me on my forehead,
Tuck me up when I’m ill in bed,
Tell me that I’m really pretty
And saying you couldn’t live without me.
So I ask myself "What is a girl to do?"
Evil side and good…I’m torn between you.
