| Is it Fate? |
It must be fate that I have begun to watch the Christian Channel on the network television now.
Last night, as I was flipping through channels I spotted the Christian station and stopped to watch it. A priest (I believe) was talking to a large crowd about Death and Hades. He described Death as a naked, ashen-faced man upon a horse. I thought nothing of it until a minute ago.
I am reading Les Miserables for some summer reading (it was recommended to me by a sophomore friend of mine) and on page 85, almost in the same description as the man on TV explained was given for Death, although it wasn't said in the text it was actually Death:
"He was entirely naked, ashen-colored, mounted upon a horse which was of the color of earth. The man had no hair; we saw his skull and the veins in his skull. In his hand he held a stick which was limber like a twig of grapevine, and heavy as iron."
It must be fate that just 12 hours ago these same words came to me. Maybe God is trying to tell me something? That Death comes for me soon, or one of my loved ones? It is probably nothing but it bothers me none the less.
