 Nonchalant and New Beginnings
I'm laying on my futon in my little apartment and watching "Babaar the Elephant;" chuckling to myself. Haha, I'm 19 and I still love to watch cartoons. I used to read the Babaar books when I was a little kid, and now I find myself watching the cartoon and still enjoying the stories! :)
Anyway, as I lay here, sipping my vanilla flavored coffee, I'm relaxed and content. This fall, I will be starting classes geared towards attaining an associate's degree in Television and Video Programming. I was going for nursing and though I wanted to become a nurse practitioner since eighth grade I found I wasn't interested in the classes. I decided if I wasn't even interested in the classes, there was no way I'd be interested in a career in nurse practioning. I was also interested and passionate about photography and film work, so my second semester of my freshman year, I took a film class (along with my nursing classes) i took much more interest in my film class than any of my other classes! So, I finally decided I wasn't going to continue with nursing, I was going to pursue a career in TV and Video Programming.
Now, I'm relaxing and happy that my classes will start soon. I can't wait to learn an ever-growing technology!

good stuff. when i started out in college i was going for psychology i think. i quickly changed to computer progamming, only to finally get established in business finance. i studied that so i could make all of my own investments. that was interesting to me. enjoy college for what it is - a learning experience and a foundation for your career (with a little bit pf partying thrown in now and then - just don't over due that part). i think you made a great choice by picking a subject that you find interesting. have fun!
