Well like most adults with kids Steph and I went trick or treating Saturday night. The kids (Garrett and Marina) came over excited about the holiday. They had on the Halloween T-shirts we had bought them a few weeks ago.

When it came time that evening to get ready though they both were not happy with the costumes their mom had got ready for them. It was Mom's turn to do Halloween. Marina was to be a dead bride but did not want to put on any make up. Garrett was to be the classic Wolverine but had no claws and felt he looked like he was in P.J.'s. Last year I had kind of spoiled them by spending a bunch of cash on there Halloween costume and letting them pick out what ever they wanted to be. Mom had decided to do Halloween on a budget.
They were both having minni melt downs about what they were wearing so I decided to save Halloween. Steph and I took them to Party City to accessorize.
A brides vial, wig and some black hair spray tied Marinas outfit together well. She made a great dead bride and many people commented on her outfit.

We couldn't find Wolverine claws since they were sold out but I did find some gloves that had the claws painted on them and when I saw a sword set that strapped on to ones back I knew it would make him happy to carry around something that was a weapon. It did. I know Wolverine doesn't have swords but it made him happy and that's all that matters.

We went from Party City to my Moms house. She was excited to see the kids all dressed up.
Then we went to see their Grandfather on my X's side where we bumped into my X sister in law who also happens to still be a good friend and her kids. We all decided to go trick or treating together. Then we went to Uncle Wayne's for a quick Halloween visit. That's where Steph snapped a photo of me and the 4 kids. The two kids on my left are my Nephews John and Jordan.

After that we went down town to the neighborhood where two of my other nephews (adults) have homes. Jeremy and Joe were outside handing out candy. We parked in front of Joe's and he was happy to see us. I had lived with Joe for about a year before I met Steph. We were both single then and splitting the bills made life easy for both of us. He had got to see the kids a lot then. They had not seen each other in months so it was nice. Then we walked across the street to Jeremie's where my oldest Brother B.J. was visiting too. That was a nice surprise. I also got to play for a minute with my Great Niece Alisa. She sure is a cute little bugger. The car she is in used to be Garrett's. Man they grow quick.

After that we walked around a couple blocks and quickly filled up the trick or treat buckets.
Steph, the kids and I stopped off at Block Buster and rented some movies to watch when we got home.
That was Halloween 2009 in the Irish house.
