The start of fall is also fair season. Steph and I missed the big kick off fair in Crawford County this year. It is by far the biggest fair in the area. It is followed by the smallest fair in Watsburg and then the little town I grew up in has a good sized fair out in Waterford followed by the last fair in this area in Albion. Albion is also good sized.
Steph and I did not have the kids this weekend so we got to just walk around and look at stuff.
Here are some pics of the award winning stuff.
Award wining future mashed taters.

Award wining biggest pumpkin. Its sitting on a full sized pallet. It was about three foot in height from the floor. It was big.

Award wining flowers. The bee agreed.

Award winning onions. One lady seemed to have all the award wining onion.

Award winning peppers. Again someone had a monopoly.

Award wining squash.

Award winning small pumpkin.

Award winning sweet corn. Yummy!

Award wining green beans.

Award winning yellow beans.

Award wining sheep.

Award wining roster.

This bad boy did not win anything but check out this head gear.

Award wining cow.

Award wining goat.

Award wining pig.

Award wining rabbit. Watch out it eats hands though.

Award wining riding horse.

Award wining work horse. This horse was huge the top of its ass was as tall as me at about 6 foot 3 inch's.

I am sure that some of you don't get this stuff but be assured this animal and plant competition stuff is a big deal in the counties surrounding my little City of Rust. People put a lot of time and cash into this stuff.
Hope you all enjoyed. The fair is a great place to get lost on a day off. Lots to see and do not to mention the food is just awesome. If you never been or haven't in a while go check out your local county fair it wont be a disappointment.
