| A Song Away |
Older than old,
some say as old as time.
This story plays out,
more twisted than my spine.
And the ending, a kaleidoscope of truths,
as meaningless as all wasted youth.
So tell me, what have I done?
Simple little life, where have you gone?
And why must I feel so alone,
when there are billions of us who cry and groan?
I’m trying to break the cycle inside my head,
before innocence claims yet another dead.
Will someone reach out for me soon,
save us all from this festering wound.
So tell me, what have I done?
Simple little life, where have you gone?
And why must I feel so alone,
when there are billions of us who cry and groan?
I know the story is never really over,
while the rich fling whips and the poor get poorer.
But I hate feeling lost in this sea,
alone with the worlds aching misery.
So, please tell me what I have done.
Simple little life, where have you gone?
And why must I feel so alone,
when there are billions of us who cry...cry and groan.
