As I watched out my bedroom window I saw the shadow of the eclipse start. It looked dark gray at first. I just kept an eye out seeing the changes. Then at about 6:40pm PST I started to notice an orange cast to the moon. I was so excited. I thought for a while all I was going to see was this gray ball. So, imagine my excitement as it started to look orange.
My husband came home from a ride he was on with some other bikers. We had discussed earlier before he left about riding along somewhere to view the Lunar Eclipse together. Well, that didn't work at first because he was still gone as it started. So, he called me at a stop he and the other riders made. He wanted to take me over there to eat and at the same time I could watch the moon on the ride.
So, he came back and picked me up with the bike. I rode as a passenger with him. I do not ride in the dark on my own bike. He took me back to the restaurant and as we rode I tried as much as I could to view the moon. With his bike it's hard to hold my head upright to see the sky. I did get a few good views as the moon shown in front over our heads. I told him it looked like a basketball in the sky.
After all was said and done the moon was bright and shining and beautiful white lighting up the night.

This picture is so cool! Thanks for posting it, because here where I live it was too cloudy/snowy to see anything! Must have been a wonderful sight.
