I saw the moon tonight, and it spoke to me.
It told me a story of love,
and it made me believe
that true love really does exist
and can happen for anyone who is ready.
Ready for all the emotions
and heartache that comes with it.
And even though I thought I was ready
for "the one" to come strolling
into my life and turn my world upside down,
but now I now understand that
it's not up to me to be ready.
It's up to the moon and the
stars in the sky.
The moon told me so.
I saw the stars tonight, and they spoke to me.
They told me a story of life,
and they made me realize that life is never easy,
but never waits to see if we are ready.
Ready for all the struggles
and troubles that come with it.
And even though I thought I could handle
all the stress and strife that
life throws at us everyday,
I now know the truth.
I now understand that it's not up to me
to handle life and it's problems.
