So ends my three week period at home,
a brief window in between my months in Israel and Brazil.
Tomorrow I take off for Sao Paolo.
I've been studyinga bit of portuguese lately,
Though I'm kinda planning on winging it.
I would have studied some more,
but I enjoyed being at home too much.
It's always nice to be home,
where everything is familiar nd you know all the rules.
You know what you can say,
how everyone will react,
who you can call...
I look around my room,
a pleasure shrine dedicated to
"Things I like to do"
My guitar, my Wii, my computer, my weed, my books...
It is a product of me..
The relationship between a place and a person can change everything.
Your environment, your context will dictate how you act at that moment,
consciously and subconsciously.
Over time, all the subtle cues in your environment that are constant will mold you,
start to affect how you act even when the context is removed.
And yet a person's environment can also be largely a product of himself.
We humans love to set aside space for ourselves,
dedicate a room or a cave for our own purposes.
Choose carefully who and what you surround yourself with.
Your environment can insinuate more than any overt persuasion...
Be you.
Stay in control.
I leave to Brazil tomorrow. My entire environment is about to get flipped upside down.
Like on my trip to Israel, the only connection I'll have,
the only constant in my life will be this laptop,
representing m internet presence.
Once again, you are all invited to come along.
Thanks so much for reading.
