Hold my breath as I wait,
For you come thru the garden gate.
Awaiting you presence,
So I can breathe in you very essence.
Hold my hand as we walk,
To reassure me as we talk.
To tell those around,
Your glad it's me you found.
Hold my eyes in yours so dear,
To speak those words I can not hear.
A steady gaze that transmits
How your heart commits.
Hold me in your arms at night,
Do not let this love take flight.
The heat that penetrates our bones
Is for us and us alone.
Hold me, hold my heart,
For each day is a new start.
A dawn, a day, a sunset
Marks each moment I love you yet.
