i think it depends on how deep the knife drives in. and even when you pull it out, there's still a scar.
i love this post, its the perfect metaphor!! and you're right about the whole lesson thing. we always learn, or grow, from our mistakes. and we know what to do or not to do the next time.

if we weren't meant to live, we wouldn't have been born.
life can always be improved, and it only gets worse if you let it. ending it is the weak way out. theres too many weak people, we need some strong ones for them to look up to.

ohhh, this is so sweet. i think both of you were really lucky to have eachother. this is sad and sweet and amazing, i love it. so--did you hurt him? or did he ask you to leave because of a certain "sickness"? why aren't you together anymore? if it isn't too painful to tell, i am curious.
