| The Joys of Feeding a Baby

My step-daughter's baby is unreal. She smiles this amazing smile everytime she sees me. She loves when the Wiggles or the Doodlebops sing and dance. And when Mickey Mouse talks she listens. But the best is when it is time to eat.
She is precious. She will keep her lips sealed tight, even as she smiles the most beautiful smile you have ever seen. Bzzzzzzz.............I will go as the spoon approaches her mouth. She can't help but laugh, and in the spoon goes. Half the pears are in her mouth, half are on her chin. Another approach.......Bzzzzzzzzzzzz.........half the pears are in her mouth, half are on her nose. I can't help but laugh and that makes her laugh.....Wait, I need another spoon full while she's laughing...
She is wise to me. She hits the approaching spoon and the pears go on her shirt. Where is the bib you ask? If I put the bib on it goes in her mouth making it even more difficult to feed her.
Finally she starts eating away. We are both laughing. We are down to the last spoonful. I tell her, "One more." She blows a raspberry to tell me, "No more." It's the most fun you could ever have when you are having pears spit onto you.
Damn, I love her.

i love babies too, even if they arent playing and im just sitting in a rocking chair with them, makes me happy.....this post is sooo cute, the way you described it put a smile on my face. :-) xo

What a wonderful feel good post. I love babies. You can't help but feel happy and content holding and caring for a little one. Haven't had the chance to be around a baby in quite some time. Thanks for putting happy thoughts in my mind. Peace.
