I have the wife talked into selling the house and buying a single-wide modular home. All it took was a commonsense appeal. Basically I told her that this house - a large three-bedroom - is too much for me to keep up.
What is especially nice about this is it took no lie to accomplish. I really can't keep up with this place by myself and it really is driving me crazy. She is unable or unwilling - it's hard to distinguish anymore - any of the work here.
I'm not sure about a time frame for this. Probably some time next year, which means there is still a lot of time for things to go wrong.
What I need to do next is determine where I'm going to go in the future. And for that decision I need a serious talk with N......
